Tim Montana

Tim Montana

It is easy to see why Montana’s music connects with so many people everywhere. Dubbed as one of Rolling Stone’s “Artists You Need to Know,” his musical influencers range from Merle Haggard to Guns N’ Roses. Montana’s passion for music has not gone unnoticed by his fellow musicians. “Tim is the real deal. He’s a little bit country with lots of hard rocks — or maybe he’s a rocker in touch with some serious country roots,” says ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.
Montana continued to write and record which earned him a worldwide publishing deal with the Spirit Music Group. This led to an introduction with ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons. The two of them collaborated on multiple different tracks including, “This Beard Came Here to Party” which was the anthem for the Nashville Predator’s 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Tim followed up with writing on Kid Rock’s current single, “Tennessee Mountain Top” and “Greatest Show on Earth” as well as Mac McAnally’s current hit, “Amarula Sun.” In September 2017, Tim released his single, “Hillbilly Rich.” Rolling Stone called the song an, “an ode to fantasies about telling off your boss, making it rain, and having everything all at once.” Shortly after the song was released, Tim performed the single live on Fox & Friends.

Tegan marie

Tegan marie

With a larger-than-life voice, Tegan Marie, 14, was discovered by girls’ media platform Sweety High when her family started uploading her videos at age 7. Featured as a Radio Disney Country artist, she catapulted into the national spotlight when her breathtaking rendition of Florida Georgia Line’s "H.O.L.Y." received over 20M views online. Tegan Marie went on to a string of critically acclaimed performances at Stagecoach, Good Morning America, the Grand Ole Opry and on stage with Smokey Robinson for The Gershwin Prize broadcast on PBS. As her videos continued to gain a wide audience (over 100M views), Tegan Marie shared the stage with artists such as Cam, Hunter Hayes and Kelsea Ballerini while partnering with Pepsi for a tour across the Midwest. In 2017, she became the youngest female artist – at age 13 – signed to a major Country label (Warner Music Nashville) in over 45 years. She has since made her debut at the Ryman Auditorium, played the TODAY show and was featured on the 2018 artist to watch lists for Billboard, Rolling Stone and Huffington Post. Prepping to release her new song, “I Know How To Make A Boy Cry,” she’s hard at work creating new music with hitmakers Scott Hendricks (Blake Shelton) and Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift).

2017 Fair Queen

Carey-Anne Renee Keiper

If you, or if you know someone interested in being a fair princess

Let us know, call (570) 675-3247

Carey-Anne Renee Keiper

My name is Carey-Anne Renee Keiper and I am the daughter of Rich and Michele Keiper. I am from the Harveys Lake/Lehman area of Luzerne County. I enjoy showing my horse in 4H and with the Keystone Junior Rodeo Association. I also enjoyed playing Lacrosse and Field Hockey for the Lake-Lehman
School District.

I am a 2017 graduate of the Lake-Lehman High School.  My future plans are to attend American Sign Language classes in the fall. Then hopefully I will obtain a career in translating for the deaf.

The Luzerne County Fair has been a big part of my life.  I have been coming to the fair with my family since before I could walk. I have been showing my animals at the fair since I was eight years old.  I believe the fair is a great way to educate the community about agriculture in our area.  Agriculture is so important and our youth needs to know how our food gets from the farm to our tables. The Luzerne County fair shows this through our many exhibits, the livestock and the livestock auction.

I am very excited and thankful to be the 2017 Luzerne County Fair Queen. I am looking forward to representing and promoting the Luzerne County Fair for the 2017-2018 season.  I would like to thank all the volunteers who make The Luzerne County  fair possible.

Cow Town USA

The Cow Town USA museum and live exhibit contains an old-time creamery where patrons participate in preparing a cow for milking, milking by hand or machine, pasteurizing for a finished product. They show that agriculture has no barriers. Kids get hands-on experiences with the process of making butter and ice cream using historic tools and machines in these processes, and they learn the concept of “Home Made” just the way Grandma used to do it.
